Notes

the tape cassette option component of #2 of the orbis (de agostini group) monthly magazine/part-work, "the blues collection" - there was also a cd option component distributed - the bar-code & issn being borne on the front cover or printed poly bag of the printed-paper component, which also gave far fuller details & background to the recordings, as well as biographical background (including to the disputed origin of his "b.b." nickname). as with most monthly magazines, the cover-date month is the month after the actual month of publication - and, therefore, the month after the release of the cd and of this cassette.
tracks 1-9 licensed from san juan/masters music, tracks 10-13 from charly international aps © editions atlas recorded between 1960-80;
mfd on CrO2 tape using dolby-b noise (tape hiss) reduction.

 on reflection, i think the bar-code & issn were on the printed poly bag, not the front (or back) cover of the printed-paper part of the monthly zine: it'd need to've been different for each of the cd & cassette versions produced(?), and printing one- (or even two-) colour poly bags'd've been cheaper than two different four-colour print-runs of the high-gloss paper covers...
