Tape Media: Cassette Album
Notes In the early 1970s, Ampex apparently contracted to manufacture and distribute cassette tapes for other labels such as Atco, Bell, and Reprise, who released their own vinyl LP albums. These Ampex tapes were packaged differently than most cassettes. Front covers are printed on paper with fold-downs for the top, left side, and bottom and were pasted to the outside of the plastic cases. They had no liner notes or composer credits.
