The 90-minute tribute was originally aired on KMPC AM radio, 5:30 p.m. Aug 24, 1994.
These tapes sold for $12, proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

LaurenceD SUBS 6th Aug 2014		Jim Healy passed away on July 22, 1994. He was an institution to Los Angeles sports fans. I knew several people who would arrange their work schedule so that they could be listening to a radio at 5:30 pm every weekday. Many Los Angeles sports and media personalities were interviewed for this tribute, too many to list. Some of the more familiar participants are Tom Lasorda, Vin Scully, Al Michaels, Norm Sherry, Buzzie Bavasi, "Superfan" Ed Bieler, Johnny Grant and Allan Malamud. Plus reminiscences from Patrick Healy (Jim's son), and of course many clips from Healy's show. More info about the tribute can be found here.
