Hi camshaft, I've had a close squint at my cassette of TC-PAS 10010 / OC 244 97581, and the inlay card is identical in every way, but the cassette shell differs from yours.
My copy has the black moulded shell, but has embossed "MADE IN ENGLAND" moulded into the shell visible at top right edge as you view both sides - yours does not.
My copy also has a Large "H" embossed into the moulding, visible bottom centre on both sides, between the four holes in the cassette shell, for guides and capstan - yours does not.
The gummed paper labels on my cassette are the same.
I will post scans when I can, as my scanner is playing up again.
Whoops, slip of the finger on the keys, must have pressed the 5 instead of the six, yes it should have been 1976. As mentioned it is the date for the vinyl album, maybe I should have put the year down only! Time to tell the mod to change this! Thanks YankeeDisc for pointing out my error! I have seen the 7605 DP mark, but didn't give any thought to a date.
I think camshaft is out by one year on the release date, 1976, not 1975, (that was "Venus and Mars" {1975}).-----confirmed at Wiki-----
I have exactly the same tape as camshaft kindly posted, with the same 7605 DP date on the inlay card. It would seem that the tape was issued much later than the album, by it looks like two months, and that sounds feasible.(March 1976, album - May 1976 cassette)
When I was repping for United Artists in the mid 70s, when we "pre-sold in" new stock releases, on the order sheet was listed the cassette version and in some cases 8-track tape.
For important releases, we issued cassette format simultaneously, so I would imagine that EMI did the same for an artist like Paul McCartney/Wings.
That does not explain however why both known copies, by camshaft and myself have 7605 DP code for a May 1976 printing as the date on the cassette inlay card, which would suggest a reprint of the supposed original issue in March 1976.
Maybe another member will provide information to prove or disprove my theory.
The tape release date is down as 1976, the vinyl album is the date shown. The label seems to be EMI, but also it could MPL or McCartney Productions Ltd., Wikipedia gave the vinyl album's label as MPL Communications (Capitol in the USA).
