The majority of 78's have very little value unlike vinyl there is not a lot of info on prices. The usual rule is a 78 is worth what some one will pay for it.

Your bog standard Glenn Milers and Artie Shaws aren't worth all that much. Of greatest value is anything from 1955 forward particularly compared against the 45.
Do not rely on valuations in price guides or on eBay. Antique stores are also terrible a pricing 78s. This record cost me all of 50 cents/ 35 p at an antique store: Victor 5612. Next to it they had a 78 re-issue Glenn Miller of In the Mood for $5/ £3.35.

would anyone be interested in any of my collection
I have subscribed to a yahoo group , mostly USA based 78-C , if you join yahoo you can request to join groups , some people do post wants lists on there, but they tend to be either for very old 78s Or obscure and hard to find jazz.. Your collection is interesting , and an average of 50per disc about £30 is in the buyers market. You might be better off , as they are out of copyright , of recording them to your PC , then creating CD compilations and selling them at a £1 each , as the value is in the content of the 78 rather than the artefact of the disc , but I think you will find most of the tracks are available on other commercial compilations.

Lots of unfriendly snotty people there and on its companion list 78-L. I'd stay away because they are a bunch of "know it alls".
You also get the know it alls at the boot sales as well ( normally appear when I am trying to negiotiate a higher price ( if selling ), or lower (if buying )
My Collection now ( with the exception of 5 unclear and any that I might have missed I will be re-checking the pile when I get time ) is all up and scanned , only taken 6 months of interupted time. Unless I can get a larger car for the boot sales , they are avalible free from me (ex delivery !) if anyone wants to play them into their computers as I wont have time to do it.
