If you mean this and trust wikipedia then 1970 seems like a good start

Yup, got 1970 cheers Andy - I was after a more exact date ie month or even week, but can't seem to find any info that places it. Even knowing if it was early or late '70 would be a start !

no discogs just says 1970 aswell

Look at the bottom of the back cover .. just under the EMI logo and blurb you should find a code like 7006 or some other 4 digit under .. that's a code for the
release date

Eg : my copy of the Miracles "Away We A Go-Go" album shows 6703 which
translates as March 1967.

This code shows up on EMI group releases from late 1965 onwards, maybe even earlier.
