Although I have about 1600 LPs, I haven't bought any in the last 20 years or so. I tend to buy everything on CD, or have copied from vinyl to CD where I could not find what I wanted on CD. I do go to car boots sales, and browse in charity shops for 7" singles, CDs and DVDs, but have ignored the piles of LPs that are sometimes at these places.
However, this new site has really sparked me up, and I will be delving into the LP sections to see what's there from now on. I don't think I''ll be buying from EBay or from any dealers however, just the cheap stuff !! I used to buy loads of stuff from Cob Records in Bangor and Porthmadog, and most of my LP collection came from there. Sadly the Bangor shop has closed and all we have now is boring old HMV

I've tried to NOT collect LP's because of the storage/weight problem but fortunately they grow, even after a major pruning a couple of years ago, I still have too many for comfort...

Fortunately, we have a small room about 9' x 6' on the ground floor that I have "shelved out" to store the LPs and getting on for 4000 singles / EPs ( and some other stuff). My wife refuses to go in it !!!
That could easily have been me writing that initial post "kab", i have dug out my vinyl LP'S which i haven't touched for years and am currently giving them a spin (approx 2 per night). It's great coming across ones i'd forgotten i owned. Not quiet as many as you though, approx. 400
