Just planning ahead - I have an LP which I kept two copies of. They are almost the same, but I noticed one has a much wider "dead wax" area than the other, and on closer inspection, there's a different matrix - A1 as opposed to A2. Labels and sleeve are exactly alike.
Does this qualify for addition as an alternative pressing, or is it taking things too far?
If it warrants inclusion on the page, any suggestions as to how I illustrate the differences, since dead wax isn't normally visible at all on the usual images.

I would suggest making a Comment to note the variation, if there is no real visual evidence. At least then people will be aware of the different versions when they see the page, which may be useful information to some collectors, and so on. It doesn't need a new entry.
I had already posted this question in the record's comments, but I'll try again here in the forum:
I have a copy that has the following on the back cover instead of the barcode:
"Marketed by Polygram Records Ltd. Hongkong / Polygram Records Private Ltd. Singapore / Polygram Records Ltd. Sdn. Bhd. Malaysia". Labels etc. are identical.
Does this qualify as new entry and if yes, for which country?

What you have there is a South East Asian release.
So yes, it needs its own entry.
If you can't narrow it down to one of the three countries mentioned, whack it on as "Unknown Country", and let the other site users have a look at it. Hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on it.
Alternatively I suppose you could pick one of those (Hong Kong perhaps) and put it under that.
It sounds to me like a "South East Asia" release for sale in several countries. Since we have country: Europe, do we need country: South East Asia as well?

Possibly. It's pretty certain that there are quite a few such releases, I think.
