Should generic company inner sleeves be included with a release? I know the 45cat ruling is only specific picture sleeves should be included but does the rule carry on over on 45worlds?
I know 45sleeves offers a great database for for singles bags but as far as i know there isn't really information on LP inner bags?
Quite a Few EMI / MfP inner sleeves had a variety ( both sides ) of pictures and some details of other label LPs ( I guess these would change over the time for heavy LP sellers. From memory these were monochrome ( single colour inc Red , Blue Or Black )
I did some "research" into the Hallmark ones (ie, I looked at mine) and decided there were three versions in use over the years, one of which was plain white. The other two have LP covers pictured and as you say, they were changed at some stage (See here). I think mfp had many more designs in circulation, but I don't think anyone has ever looked into this. Neveretheless, they are not particular to any LP, and would have been used across a range of releases.
Agreed, if not particular to an individual LP release inner sleeves not here yet , ( there is an albumsleeves website elsewhere , I might investigate ). The latest LP out of the bag to scan is an Embassy one , which has 24 12 LP albums depicted on one inner sleeve side , and in smaller printing 51 45 EPs on the other.
Interestingly the Top left / right of the sleeve has a sticky label (white on red in similar typeface to the 'Factory Sample' stickers discussed on 45cat) , 'Factory Inspected & Sealed' on one side and 'Pull Record Gently To Break Seal' on the other.
