While , for Now The Spinners Gives the Correct UK Albums , http://www.45worlds.com/vinyl/artist/the-spinners
The appearances I guess are on USA Motown of what I think in the UK became known as The Detroit Spinners. Any ideas how to solve this, presumably rename The UK group ? This would be part consistent with 45cat , its probably impractical to have The Spinners as the The Spinners [Detroit] at least on the appearances as it does not make sense in the Motown compilation track listings, but at sometime when a UK Detroit Spinners LP gets added they will need to be linked ( current 1 appearance on UK Motown Hits Of Gold Volume 5 )
On that LP they are billed as the Detroit Spinners, and I think in the vast majority of cases that will be so - they were marketed at Detroit Spinners (and sometomes Motown Spinners) in Britain.
However, I will bet there are a few cases where they are listed as just Spinners, and certainly on US releases, that will be the case. It's a situation which will arise over and over where different groups have the same name (any Mary Hopkin fans will tell you about her group, Oasis!) - not sure of a simple solution with compilation LPs. Might need to be flagged up to mods every time and the links somehow pointed to the right artist discography.

If it helps, the Spinners from the UK were known as "The Liverpool Spinners" in the early days. Used to have a residency in the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
