I've just noticed that there's 2 entries for The Blues Brothers Soundtrack, with the artist been listed as "Blues Brothers", i have also added this LP under the Various Atrists.( I think these should be added together shouldn't they)

If you look closely you see that there was an artist band called "The Blues Brothers" as well as the film soundtrack of the same name featuring various artistes. More confusing is that The Blues Brother's band features many of the personnel who played on the original records, eg, Steve Cropper, Donald Dunn etc etc ..
Exactly, that's why i put it under Various Artists e.g. Aretha Franklin (Think)credited to one track, James Brown, Cab Calloway doing Minnie The Moocher
I struggled to find your entry PM.. it must be this one. UK
Is yours the same copy as mine K50 715? if so my sleeve states 'Made in Germany' and the label carries the legal stuff in 3 European languages, indicating a pan-european release.
Yes. that's the one Bodston. I've just noticed that the record has the same cat. No. as you've put, but on the sleeve it is ATL 50 715. All i was suggesting was that my entry be put with the Blues Brothers entries

Sorry I didnt make myself clear - I meant the album should be listed as The Blues Brothers not various - this album http://www.45worlds.com/vinyl/album/k50715 in particular is comrised of The Blues Brothers Band playing all the tracks, in the tracks where Cab calloway, Aretha are credited this is also the BB band, the only odd track out is the James Brown one.
OK then. It would seem that we have entered the same record. I don't think it should remain as 'Various Artists'. But the others aren't quite right either! Most should be, in my opinion, The Blues Brothers (all of the vocals by Jake, Jake & Elwood) and the Peter Gunn theme. Then I'm struggling to remember the film.. maybe like this?
'Shake Your Tailfeather' Ray Charles and the Blues Brothers?
Think' - Aretha Franklin and the Blues Brothers?
'Minnie the Moocher' - Cab Calloway and the Blues Brothers?
I can't remember the James Brown track or who was involved.
What do people think? does that sound like a decent compromise for this album?
