HELLO ALL,NEW MEMBER, I HAVE ONLY JUST RECENTLY INHERITED SOME 10'' 78 RPM RECORDS, AND WAS LOOKING TO SELL THEM ON E BAY, BUT I NOW I [img]G.H.ELLIOTT 1[/img][img]G.H. ELLIOTT 2[/img]THINK I'M HOOKED, DOING SOME RESEARCH ON A FEW OF THESE RECORDS FROM 20' TO THE 50'S, ONE OF THEM BEING G,H, ELLIOTT SINGING DINAH ON A SIDE, B SIDE IS I WANT TO GO TO IDAHO ON REX LABEL, I CANT FIND THIS RECORD ONLY ON EBAY BUT NOT ON REX LABEL,AND ALSO ON THE OUTER EDGE OF LABEL SAYING, ''HEAR WHAT YOU LIKE- WHEN YOU LIKE'' BUT WITHOUT THE LETTER E.

The G.H.Elliott version of Dinah on Rex 8199 was released in July 1934. He'd been recording since the early 1900s, so you'll probably find he recorded many versions of standards from his act on other labels.

thank you for that yes i have seen those other labels as you say that's some valuable information and have but it in my notes, also i have 4 records three are 80 speed on 10'' and one 80 speed 12'' why is that are they for oversea's records ??,

Are they on Columbia by any chance? 80rpm was the standard speed for Columbia (and Edison Diamond) and maybe others until about 1930
I hope you will add them here as they are relativel early records.
Also I'd like a few other labels for my list 80 RPM 78s

on 12'' the belle of new York-selection part 1, the regimental band of h. m. grenadier guards, conducted by capt George miller (ax 2355) 9192 flip side the belle of new York- selection. part 2.(ax 2356) 9192.on Columbia. & twilight on the Missouri, waltz, jay whidden and his new midnight band from the hotel metropole, (a 3482) 4038 flip side, my carmeneta, Spanish one step (a 3479) 4038 on columbia. will post other two soon all on columbia, trying to convert my photos to url

I suggest you add them on 78 World, then sort out the images afterwards. There's plenty of help here re uploading images
