 | Trainman Trainman Member since Jun 2014 2559 Points Moderator | I don't know if this has been addressed before, but I have a number of instances where record clubs (Capitol Record Club in particular) will issue a pressing of another manufacturer's title, identical in all respects to the original, but with a different catalog number. Should that be a new listing of a footnote or comment on the original "OEM" (to borrow a term from my workaday world) issue. |

 | Jock_Girl A girl who looks good in vinyl Member since Dec 2012 1544 Points Moderator | They should be added as unique entries with notation that they are the 'XYZ Record Club Pressing' One reason for this is that in some cases Mister Cock-up did the pressing and misspelled/ misidentified song titles -- or -- and this is really cool -- alternate/ true stereo takes got used. Of particular note is the Beatles 'A Hard Day's Night' -- issued on United Artists in the USA as UAL/ UAS 3366 --- but with pressings for the Capitol Record Club pressed by Capitol itself with Capitol style catalogue number (T/ST 90828) Versions without the S being mono Amy |
