Saw a weird one this morning "Sir Douglas Quintet" come up twice in the artists listing, I can see NO difference between the two, some of their US albums are coming up one, some under the other.
There's also a "Dough Sahm and the Sir Douglas Quintet" that could be linked

One of the SDQs had some trailing spaces, so I merged its entries with the other SDQ and then removed it. This has revealed at least one duplicate LP, so I'll look at that now.

Great, because I almost added a THIRD entry for "Together after five, " That's when I noticed it.

When two seemingly identical artists are observed as in this case, one trick you can use to see the difference is to compare the BBCode links. The extraneous spaces that are normalized in the browser's page rendering will tend to be visible in those links.
