I'm a bit confused about what the rules are about upper and lower case with the names of the acts.
I'm currently up to "L" in entering a batch of L.P.s and have a number of releases by "Denise LaSalle" and "LeVert". Looking at the L.P.s, biographies etc. for these two acts these look to be the correct combinations of upper and lower case (though some of Miss LaSalle's releases show her name as "Denise La Salle" in an obvious ploy to upset 21st Century discographers).
However although I am able to enter and save "LaSalle" easily enough "LeVert" reverts to "Levert" as soon as it is saved.
Anybody know why? And does anyone know of any other instances of this?

Roger

The name has previously been added by someone unaware of the capitalisation, but I have changed that

BTW You may have noticed that you can enter artists, titles, composers and producers all in lower case and they will be automatically capitalised, unless the system thinks they are German titles. This is a great help when entering, but if you have any more needing capitals in the middle, or German titles, be sure to enter them correctly.

Thanks for that ....

At the moment "LeVert" still appears as "Levert", on the 12" singles site, though the act's name on the cover of this release is clearly "LeVert".

Not sure why I didn't notice that when I inputted that 12" single ... :)

I believe the case of "DeVille", "De Ville", and "Deville" applies here also, for both the "Mink" and "Willy" varieties....
