I recently got a large pile of promo cassettes in a job lot and looking for a bit more info on them.
Going from what i have been able to find out, it looks like they may have been used within retail stores such as Woolworth, John Menzies, Boots etc.. I have uploaded a few (still got loads to do) and i would be interested to see if they ring any bells with any of you knowledgeable folks

This One - Wilde Rock Promotions is introduced by Kenny Everett and dates from 1975, he gives some chatter between each full track (there are some truly awful tunes on it though)

This One is from the same company, a few years later in 1979, some good tunes but no DJ or talk between tracks, again, all full versions.

This one is from a different company and each track is presented by Alan 'Fluff' Freeman, not full tracks - approx 2mins to 2.45 mins of each song. Seems to be a weekly release

Anyone remember them? I've got about 30 which i will slowly upload over the next few weeks.

Cheers for the Info Pridesale,

It looks "Wilde Rock Promotions' went bust in the early 80s, The early cassettes all seem to have Kenny Everett (it seems they tried to launch with a big name profile) on them and as it gets a bit later, there is no DJ on them at all - presumably as they start to save a bit money.

It looks like the track info sheet is the same as the one used for the 8-track as it's split into 4 programmes.
