Yes... the Smile-o-tron 2000 didn't perform as expected...

...There's still the issue of the gritted teeth smile they haven't quite worked out yet. You know the one that says:

"I'm happy to be here, even though I'm fighting disguise the fact that I'm struggling to keep my eyes open at this God forsaken hour, and it doesn't hurt at all!"

The Smile-O-Tron 2000 Huh? Can't say as I've seen too many of them about! 'Specially here in Aussieland!(Station budgets would stretch that far!) :heehee:

"Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way"

...I think someone once said.

So you can imagine the plight of the English Breakfast TV presenter, having to pretend to be happy-go lucky... especially at that hour!

It's just not very British to be cheerful at any time of the day... It just isn't cricket.

Oh raaaa-ther! Mind you the standard of commercial stations' Breakfast TV in Aussieland looks to be taken from the pages of the Rupert Murdoch book on how to present news TV. All gimmicks and not much news content(and what there is takes a decidedly right-wing slant).

Just noticed, there's a 9-hour delay in times. I just wrote this at 6.12am, Friday, 10th July, 2015 but it will show as(when I post) 9.14pm, 9th July, allowing a couple of minutes to write it.
