If you a collector of vinyl records then you must visit Harry Boulter's shop Time Machine Records in Chichester. It's a treasure trove of vinyl records and pop memorabilia, and all at reasonable prices. I've been shopping there for a number of years now and can thoroughly recommend it. Find the shop at Almshouse Arcade, 19 The Hornet, Chichester, West Sussex POP19 7JL.

See more here.

My local "haunt" is Rices Second-Hand Books & Records in Hunter Street, Newcastle West, NSW Australia. By Newcastle West, I mean the western end(or near to it) of Hunter Street in Newcastle. I've been going there for years, on and off. There were other second-hand book & record shops I occasionally visit(or have visited but are now gone) but Rices I generally visit every second Sunday to see if there's anything "new" in stock.

Ah, thanks for the link. I thought there was a series of posts on this already but could not find it. Will add Time Machine from Chichester to it.

A chap called Alan mentioned in a group on FB that he has opened a record shop,

The Vault
1 Castle Street, Christchurch, Dorset, UK

This must be the first record shop in Christchurch for a great many years.

if I visit relatives in Newcastle it has been thirty years (1985) I caught the second hand record buying bug my first visit was at hamition where I bought 20 Electryfing hits and twenty red hot hits in Beaumont Street back in that year who not only sold records but books it was there until 1989 I think it was was demolished due to the earthquake. Another one was cooks hill books and records it was in union street cooks hill now it sells just books another one I visited during the late eighties and early nineties was at Maitland in high street but the one I used to was called antique sounds it was in hunter street later moved to a Lake Macquarie suburb called Belmont then he moved to king street Newcastle and now he's retired his daughter took over the business but these days I relie on a odd op shop or two to find a good condition record and get a good bargin off eBay
