Ugh! Argh!

I see this sort of stuff all over eBay and it really gets my angry. People take a record and destroy it .. like one...

Elvis Clock

Elvis 78s are rare enough, and Filipino Elvis 78s even more so ..... and to see one defiled...

My jaw just hits the floor when I see some of the things people do...

I honestly think they believe they are making them more valuable by doing it!

Even if they are not in top nick, someone will want it if it plays.

That first "bookend" image is The Beatles The White Album!

Please people:

Stop The Clocks!

(And hole cut label coasters, bookends, flower pots and other nonsense)

I knelt on my Dad's 78 of Cliff Richards "Move It" when changing records "Kraaack". That was over 20 years ago and I still haven't told him. He never plays them but one day it coulda been mine, Mwaaaaah.

Interesting - my dad stepped on my 45 of Cliff's Dynamite 45 and left a horrible cluster of lil scratchlets all over it! I still have that 45 and didn't get a decent one for many yonks after that episode!

I'm still heart-sunk over breaking my Presley Rip It Up 78

I did manage to superglue the half moon piece back in today, very good, and very quick bond... and absolutely flush - The thicker 78 grooves line up much nicer than would a vinyl microgroove record... but be warned, a teeny tiny bit of over spill begins to melt and warp the grooves!

Not too bad though, but I'm going to further clean it up before I trust it to my stylus for recording (then speeding up in Audacity).

It's in one bit now though, and back in the paper sleeve

What's that orificer? I think you mean censured and rightly so given the pop (and perhaps other) crimes he's been responsible for. I think his next appearances are at Wimbledon and the Magistrates Court.
