Answer then supply your own question

Q. What is the connection between the character played by Joan Fontaine in the Hitchcock film Rebecca and Chewbacca in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope?

Sort of so I'll give it to you

Neither of them is referred to by name in the film. Chewbacca is only referred to as "Chewy" in Star Wars IV.

You're correct Evil Dead was one of them probably better quality than most of them.
nboldock had a mispent 80's like myself.

Driller Killer was 1979 and Romper Stomper was 1992 if I remember rightly. Like Redpunk and nboldock my 70s and 80s was misspent.

Driller Killer though it came out in the 70's was classed as one of the video nasties as the term was more to do with the rise of the VCR in the early 80's. Romper Stomper is not one that I know.

It refers specifically to the list of videos banned under the 1984 Video Recordings Act (VRA). Driller Killer was indeed one of them. It's an atrocious film anyway though!

Many movies have subsequently been refused certification but these aren't the original "video nasties". Many of the original list are now freely available as they've since been granted certification in our more enlightened times, some of them in their uncut forms. I've seen loads of them, most of them are pretty dire to be fair.

Yes I've had the dubious pleasure of watching Driller Killer it's not scary or horrifying just bad.
