Am attempting to collect all the Recordings made by Eric Randolph (1887-1946) and would appreciate it if anyone can contact me if they have any of his REGAL Recordings for Sale or know of any for Sale.

Regards

Stick a want on each!!
(But then again you have added each in). Ad your location to your profile and someone might suggest where to look locally or worthwhile. Three different members on Discogs have some; they might part with them.
There are a couple on Ebay at the stupid price of £10-£20, plus sheet music at £10. I might have some sheet music. I have not gone though the two banana boxes I have from the time as yet!
A few 78s have sold sub £10. I note one got 3 bids so there is a following that I was unaware of.
There are 8 sides on YT.
I have added tunes to three Regal discs (I have not looked for Winner, etc.):
So G7906 That old world daddy I love / My little Jennie
G 7984 She married my dear old Dad / Little apples will grow again
G 8131 Just a dream of you
Need adding to worlds first.

Thanks for your reply. I started looking for his recordings as he was a distant relative (Nephew to my Great Aunt) have found to date 43 Records (39 REGAL + 4 EDISON), G7318 being the earliest, but the REGAL Catalogues in the 1920's seem to shed numbers and this may be the case with one or two of the early recordings.
No Museum/Collection in the World seems to have more than 2 of his Recordings although he was popular in Australia and New Zealand as well as the UK and South Africa where he started his career.
Any help to build up a collection would be appreciated as I intend them to go eventually to his Relative Paul Marleyn the World Famous Cellist or the V&A.

We have discussed elsewhere I think Regal in general catalogues, and the numbers they delete, with both the advent of electrical recording and merger into Regal-Zonophone. I think you can probably find when recordings first went on sale, less so when truly deleted.

It is not very well known that Eric Randolph was a composer as well. Not sure of the total amount of sheet music released, but I have managed to obtain a copy of a song from Canada in his post-1936 stage name of "PAULO THE SINGING CLOWN".

Certainly Eric Randolph wrote for the reviews he appeared in with Arthur Lucan & Kitty McShane, "Irish Follies", "Paris 1929," and "Paris 1930."

Eric Randolph also made 5 records on the Columbia label under the pseudonym of Basil Lloyd. He also made some 8-inch records on Edison Bell's "Radio" label.

There are only two Eric Randolph recordings on Edison Bell Winner - 4757 and 5451 (which I've just added). I'll check, date and add to the Regals sometime soon - there are 44 records by him on Regal. [DONE!]

There are several sheets of music produced by Lawrence & Wright with the photograph of Eric Randolph on them; whilst he sang from these and recorded work in his stage show, he also sung work by other artists and often included Light Opera.
Presumably he sang duets with his wife Margot Joyce from 1922 until 1936, but I have never found recorded work of them together.
