It can be frustrating but there is little that can be done. Give time a more balanced rating will appear as more users rate the tracks.
At least we can hope anyone rating an album (or track) has at least taken the time to listen to it first. I would think that any music would need to be listened to several times to give a fair and unbiased rating.
Personally if I find an album (or artists) so unpleasant/unlistenable then I don't waste my time rating it.

On the other hand, if he really doesn't like it, who's to say his ratings don't count?
No I am not saying they don't count, they do.
Given time it will hopefully balance out, the same applies if 1 user gives 10 to every track an artist releases, a genuine lower rating from other users will give a truer picture of the album's quality (within this site) rather than either just brilliant or dross.
I only rate directly after listening to a track. I am on a mission to listen to all my stuff, and if I find in my collection something I really dislike (and don't tell me why have you got it at all? Sometimes one cannot tell anymore, has bought some bulk lot, got it given by whomever, or it belongs to some "completeness" and "collection" part of the collection), I give it a bad rating. I cannot recall having rated a whole album as 1, but perhaps I am just fortunate or did leave the worst stuff with some ex......I just hope I will never have to listen to any 90ies Trancetechnoclubbing stuff, that afficionados of the genre might probably rate as 10.

I agree 100% JJ
I also agree, but remember my parents saying the same back in the 60s about my choice of music Beatles, Stones, Who, Kinks............

I knew I was onto a winner whenever my mother nearly put her foot through the TV when Jethro Tull were on TOTP. Same thing happened whenever King Crimson appeared and the same thing happened. Gave me a life long passion for Prog Rock and started my hair very much in a downward direction
