I recently purchased the following 4-record (10", 78-rpm) album: Pilotone 109, Rumba Dance Rhythms.

The Artist is "Roberto" and his Pan-American orchestra. The records are made of red “vinylite” with sides numbered P45 5017 to P45 5024. They are in quite good condition and some include vocals by Don Arres and Dolores Del Carmen. The front cover mentions Pilot Radio Corporation, Long Island City, New York and number 50776 is ink-stamped inside the back cover of the album.

I would like to know the date on which this album was released, and where I can find additional information about this album and "Roberto" et al. Curiously, Pilotone isn’t listed on http://www.78discography.com/

Found a Florida University PDF online which has the following records listed as follows

DON ROBERTO
[circa].1946 Pilotone EU Pa ran pan pan / r SK
5164
ca.1946 Pilotone EU Mamá Inés / r EG
5166
ca.1946 Pilotone EU Nagüe / gu Ch P 5169

so I think you can safely date 5017 to '46 or earlier.
