Etched 78rpm

	headcoat Member since Jan 2013 139 Points	I used to have a 78 with a musical noted etched on the B-side. I know its a long shot, but does anyone know what the release was? Or ones similar to it? Thanks

	Redpunk SUBS Crates Are For Digging Member since Aug 2012 25322 Points Moderator	Early Columbia single sided discs all had a musical note etched on rear.

	scrough 🍰 No picture 'cos I'm not into 45rpm :( Member since Jan 2013 3428 Points Moderator	I can't find any mention of it in Sherman and Nauck's 'Note The Notes' book on USA Columbia labels. But they say that the Magic Notes trademark only started in 1908, when most of the single-sided had been scrapped. The single sided discs like this in our database seem to be around 1912, and are 'Celebrity', so perhaps this reflects UK Columbia attempting to copy UK HMV.
