I was looking to add an item on the USA label above and my search brought up three results of what appeared to be the same label: namely Armed Forces; AFRTS and Armed Forces Radio and Television Service Station Library. Should these be the same label ie one entry or if not which do I choose? The closest in terms of cat no. Is AFRTS but is that the correct label name? For example under the label 'Armed Forces' there are entries for Armed Forces Records, Armed Forces Radio Service and Armed Forces Radio and Television Service. Needs looking into perhaps?

Steve.

Yes, they need to be shown consistently. I think this will need more than one label name.

Some like P-164010 show a clear "AFRTS" logo but the cat. no's are consistent with others that clearly show "Armed Forces Radio And Television Service" like W-1208 so I would use the latter name.

Those entered as "Armed Forces Radio & Television Service Station Library" have no images, but the cat. no's are similarly consistent so I would make them the same as above.

Others like AFD(S)-341 clearly show "Armed Forces Records" and have AFD- prefixes, so I would like to see these entered as "Armed Forces"

H-45 seems to be earlier and shows just "Armed Forces Radio Service" so I would use that for the label

RL 32-1 shows "American Forces Radio And Television Service"

Then I think we should combine all under the predominant name, with links back to the main listing

This would keep them all together while recognising the differences

I suggest you add yours as Armed Forces Radio And Television Service, then we can change others to that new label

Ok, sounds like a plan. I'll endeavour to add the item later this evening. Many thanks.

Steve.
