Dutton Vocalion - Bargain Box

Re-issue label Dutton Vocalion's Bargain Box has dozens of titles in their catalogue available brand new for just 99p! The listing starts with archive classical recordings, and on page 2 there begins an array of British dance band and 'nostalgia' CDs, transferred from the 78s and superbly remastered. This continues on further pages and then from page 4 there are numerous re-issues of 'easy listening' albums, including soundtracks, operatic vocal and lounge music, which were licensed and come from the original master tapes (usually British Decca recordings via Universal). There's also some 50s pop and light orchestral music which I'd highly recommend. Once the titles are deleted, they'll be gone (check out their Low Stock/Deletions section for last copies remaining) and then hard to find. At this price it's worth grabbing a few. I myself snapped up every British dance band re-issue available from Vocalion. Finding so many rare 78s on CD is really convenient for collectors of this stuff.
