When entering Classical records, the choice of a Title is often less obvious than for most non-Classical items. If there is more than one phrase shown on the sleeve I suggest both are included in the Title: typically they can be separated by a colon.

A few examples of recently added Titles:

The Silver Stars At Play: Contemporary Christmas Carols
The Corinthians At Christmas: Carols From St Peters Cathedral, Adelaide
Tchaikovski; Transcriptions For Piano
Torches: Favourite Christmas Carols
Cloudburst And Other Choral Works
The Spy's Choirbook: Petrus Alamire And The Court Of Henry VIII
Lucrezia Borgia's Daughter: Princess, Nun And Musician: Motets From A 16th Century Convent
The Art Of The Recorder: Instruments Of The Middle Ages

On the other hand, a nice example of one title being sufficient is
"Musical Humour With The Bach Family"
where the sub-title "Der Jenaische Wein- und Bierrufer" appears as a track section

alternatively, enter sub-titles in a sub-title field, as in other parts of worlds?

sub titles go in after one has entered the record as a whole?
9nope cannot find a subtitle on LP World - maybe it is a classical thing?

'tis a field, the coding for which has already been furnished 45worlds by a presumédly benign, thou possibly mythical, divine being - so would presumably be a smop for lps.

'sub-title field' seems to be mythical

It's in Book World where it works well. I fear it would cause a bit of noise elsewhere.

Can i just make a case for using a hyphen to separate sub-title/s instead of using a colon,or semi-colon?,(on all worlds btw)
i.e,and using a Doors CD to illustrate....
When You're Strange - Songs From The Motion Picture - A Film About The Doors
instead of...
When You're Strange: Songs From The Motion Picture: A Film About The Doors
It looks better with hyphens, and is easier to read IMHO,
and, although probably not grammatically correct, does that matter?,shouldn't clarity be the goal?
Just a thought, and i think i'm right in saying that it doesn't matter what is used between titles, because it doesn't affect a search, and therefore hyphens could be used instead?.
your thoughts?

the coding for a sub-title field's already been written, and works;

where different releases of the same album exist both with and without a sub-title, they are currently distinct "non-bookcat" items when the sub-title is included as integral with the (main, shorter) title.

it should be a smop to include it on non-bookcat worlds where sub-titling occurs.

(i leave it to semi-divine debate as to whether or not mere humans and other alien intelligences are unable to cope with a "sub-title" field on non- bookcat worlds.)

Pardon me for revisiting this older topic, but I am constantly finding the record companies themselves use two methods of including subtitles:
a) by the use of a new line, as in
The Art Of The Recorder
Instruments Of The Middle Ages

b) using a middle dot. This option is available in all Worlds and I have started using it freely in Classical World, as in
Rutland Boughton · The Queen Of Cornwall
It can be added by paste+copy or by entering ALT+ 0183 on a numeric keypad
