You know when you check to see if a record you have is already on this website. Then you find it is. But there are no label images. So you add them.
Then, I wonder, do you add a comment along the lines of 'A' and 'B' side label images added (which then appears under Latest Comments on the 78rpm home page) - or not bother as the images will appear on the 78rpm home page anyway as Latest Images ?
Or is there no best practice policy with this ?
Hope this makes sense and thanks for any advice / guidance.

If the record was added by somebody else then adding "Label/Sleeve images added" will show up in their reports, then after a short time i.e. a fortnight, you or a mod can delete them.

Yes it can be very helpful to the original contributor and to anyone that's interested in that artist, and can show up errors in spelling and credits which need correcting. I just hate it when someone adds a record and then makes a comment that they have added images; I always think why don't you comment that you have added this record! If you could actually say something about the record, like "C&W ballad" that would be infinitely more useful to everyone else.
Sorry, rant over - add your comments. Whenever I come across "images added" comments that are more than a few months old I delete them because by then they add nothing to the record, it's just noise for the sake of it which frustrates me when I'm searching for comments on a particular artist's records. I'm always hoping to find a comment along the lines of "added label images which show the composer different to the UK release" etc etc

I do not mind the 'added images' comments as they give credit to follow up work on a record after the initial entry.
What I do hate -- are two things -- no make that 3 things -- entries with only the picture sleeve -- or with no images at all -- and entries with meaningless notes such as ones that say 'Manufactured and distributed by WEA Music of Canada, Ltd.' on any entries for Warners, Elektra, Asylum or Atlantic. What did they expect it to say -- distributed by RCA Victor? This is totally meaningless and transitory as a later pressing will could show totally different info. Sheesh!
