Hi Mr B,

I think an update of guides is probably needed soon, but what you want is to add a sub heading in green text, in order to separate and define the bonus tracks from the main track list (?)

To do this, when making an entry, add all your tracks as usual, but in the track title field the first track of the bonus tracks, add first, the textyou want to appear in green as a header, then type: SECTIONBREAK in all caps, then the track title of the first bonus track.

You only need to do this for the track above which, you want the header (the first of the bonus tracks)

...complete the rest of the entry, and submit as usual. The SECTIONBREAK acts as an instruction (code) to make the header.

So to make:

"Bonus Tracks
11. Bum Fluff Bonanza
12. Blah Blah"

etc. (with "Bonus Tracks" text appearing in green in the finished entry)...

In the track title field fortrack 11, type:

"Bonus Tracks SECTIONBREAK Bum Fluff Bonanza"

*For this to work, the word SECTIONBREAK must be all caps, spelled correctly, and have a space before and after this word, to separate from the text you want in green, and the text you want in black as the track title.

(You can also use the SECTIONBREAK function to separate text as many times, and in in any fashion you think appropriate:

"CD 1
1. Blah Blah
2. Drink!
3. Feck!

CD 2
4. Gerls!"

etc.

Where the text "CD 1", and "CD 2", are in green, and separate from the main text.

Thanks for the clarification!

Can you also explain, in case of a double CD, is it possible to add a Titles to each of the CDs before listing the tracks?

Superb, you start explaining my last question...

Where to add the text "CD 1" and "CD 2"? In which field?

In the track field, not the artist or composer field.

In the case of heading a whole disc...

(you don't have to, as the disc number appears alongside track number for doubles and so on - but it looks nice:)

... The very first thing you type for the first track of each disc is: "CD 1 SECTIONBREAK Track Title",

add the rest of the track titles for that disc, then click the blue: "Add tracks to double" album",

... Begin in first track field for that disc: "CD 2 SECTIONBREAK Track Title"

Then submit.

There are currently limits to how many discs you can add initially to an entry, and how many tracks you can add to each disc (30 tracks per disc) - but any more tracks - 31 and above, can be submitted as a correction, giving the disc / track number, artist name, track text...

(if you can present these as you would in the entry, line by line, it stops mods ageing eyes from going funny and would be much appreciated therefore! :)

...then mods can add the extra tracks over 30 for you, but you can add extra discs yourself, once you've submitted the initial entry, go to the bottom of the page: "Add Missing Info" and at the top you'll see: "Add extra tracks", where you can add blocks of 30 tracks (with disc numbers) - then repeat accordingly.

Magic, I see you can add bogus tracks the same way i.e. "Bonus Tracks SECTIONBREAK Bum Fluff Bonanza". I'll keep it mind for for when the urge takes me.

Another thing you can do using the same technique is name sides of albums (as I have done here) or individual CDs in a box set (like this) or multi-disc compilation (CD/DVD) where some discs may have individual titles.

Yes, very versatile function, that just helps break the page up into readily identifiable and digestible chunks, rather than a ream of text... easier to look at, and see what's on the disc, especially if it's two albums on or in one package, or has bonus tracks added to the original track listing, or enhancements (Video etc.).

Very helpful in multi-disc boxes, where, although we have disc numbers next to track numbers, it can define more readily where one disc ends, and another begins, so adding even: "CD 1, CD 2... etc." as headers is most groovy.

It is appreciated if people do these when making the entries, but I understand if you've got a big box set to add, it's a lot of work, and you just want to get the basic entry done, and don't want to get bogged down at this stage with details... we can always adjust details and panel beat the entry later through corrections.

...Oh, and a couple more points about the SECTIONBREAK:

Firstly, remember, this function is not available in CD singles world yet, so if you type it in a track field, the word: "SECTIONBREAK" will simply appear in the final entry there, and not create green text headers.

And secondly, a problem that becomes most apparent in Classical world entries, where it feels like one type of section break is not enough, as there tend to be multiple divisions to be made at once as headers, which I have, when making entries there, had be creative in entering... example:

"CD 1 - The Toilet Seat Symphony; Op.1 SECTIONBREAK 1st Movement"

Here, I used caps just for the CD tag, but the name of the symphony only capitalised the first letters of the title... you may also have another symphony on the same disc, so a header for that is created, but without "CD 1".

"Toilet Paper Scarcity SECTIONBREAK Repent at leisure"

...And in addition, you will have works that begin on the first side / disc, but conclude on the second side / disc. Here, you can either follow the label text for second side / disc:

"CD / SIDE 2 - Toilet Paper Scarcity Cont. / Continued / Conclusion SECTIONBREAK I was Really Enjoying that Magazine too!"

...Or if it isn't given that way simply mark the distinction of side, and allow it to carry over onto CD / side two:

"CD / SIDE 2 SECTIONBREAK I Was Really Enjoying That Magazine Too!"

Then marking as a header, the next work on that disc / Side:

"Sadle-Sore Symphony SECTIONBREAK The Gingerly Overture"
