| Regal and Regal Zonophone duplication of Cat# |

 | Stephen Harris Member since Mar 2021 193 Points | Opinion please... Regal and Regal Zonophone occasionally have the same records released under their respective labels. I have seen 2 ways of dealing with this duplication and want to confirm which is correct so that we can be consistent:- Method A: Cat# MR479 (UK) has 2 entries in the database, one attributed to Regal and one to Regal Zonophone, with their respective label images. Method B: Cat# MR721 (UK) has 1 entry in the database attributed to Regal with both sets of labels. I am assuming that Method A is correct/preferred so there should be 2 entries for MR721, and therefor a Regal Zonophone entry needs to be added using a duplicate of the current Regal entry, with the Regal Zonophone label images. |

| Stephen Harris Member since Mar 2021 193 Points | I don't have a Regal Zonophone version of MR721 so I can't create a new entry for it. But I do have the Regal version of MR721... If the current MR721 entry could be changed by the moderators from Regal to Regal Zonophone then I could create a new entry for the Regal version with the Regal label images. (We would also need to remove the Regal label images from the amended Regal Zonophone entry). Is this a possible solution? |

 | Redpunk SUBS Crates Are For Digging Member since Aug 2012 25322 Points Moderator | Regal and Regal Zonophone should have separate entries what happened on this occasion it was added as Regal by a member who couldn't add a scan another member has compared the Cat. No.s and mistakenly added the Regal Zonophone label scans. These things happen I believe my fellow Mod. is going to make a Regal Zonophone entry and move the incorrect scans or if not I will do it later. |

| Stephen Harris Member since Mar 2021 193 Points | Thanks Redpunk, that was also the message I got from Mike Gann. I believe he is creating a new Regal Zonophone entry and moving the images across, leaving the Regal entry with my Regal label images. So nothing more for me to do!  |
