I thought there was a section here where one could discuss various topics rather than posting them as questions or lists, etc.. Apparently, there isn't. That's why it is here.

Part of this is a request for a tiny bit of help, part is just a discussion on the topic at hand. I'll get to the help, first and get that out of the way.
I recently acquired most of the 38 CD set of the Woodstock concert and was unable to get 4 sections (CD's) worth and was wondering if anyone here has a copy and could send me WAV's MP3's FLACs or Zip files of the 4 bits I need?

Discussion:
About 15 years ago, or so, I got involved with a project to try to restore the entire Woodstock concert. Up until a few weeks ago, I/we had at least 22 full CD's worth of stuff. (Full, as in: I don't care if each CD ONLY has one entire act's performance on it, fill up the CD as much as possible without splitting tracks in half. I hate wasting disk or tape space!)
We (or at least I) have a bunch of stuff that's not on the 50th anniversary collection, mostly field recordings but also a few tracks Rhino's not allowed to release and even a few short recordings from the second stage.
Every year, for the anniversary, I try to listen to the entire concert (as much as I have) in correct order at the exact times each artist/band actually played their bits. Sadly, I've never been able to match the start times past the 2nd day because it means I'd have to stay up all night, or most of it. I come as close as I can, even if that means blowing off the breaks in between acts and just listening to a number of them non-stop until I catch up.
One of the last versions of the concert these people in this group released about 7 years ago (they update every so often when they get more material) had a lot more stuff than previously but, the person that edited it all together, for SOME bizarre reason, opted to fade every track in and out, even if a continuous performance was at hand!! I thought the goal was to get the ENTIRE performance!! Thankfully, this 50th anniversary version doesn't do that but, I was just going through some of it and noticed there are some obvious edits done from one track into the next, instead of just allowing the entire master tape to run unedited, which is what I would've done had I been doing the editing. Richie Havens claimed to have played for 3 hours but, what I here, now, says he was only on stage for 47:00!! Does that mean he spent over 2 hours just talking and the guy putting the collection together cut most of those bits out or, was Richie either high or too involved with his performance to realize that he's only been on stage 47:00 instead of 3 hours?
Another thing that puzzles me about this 50th anniversary collection is that, the guy (Randy Zaks?) doing the editing DIDN'T use the full master tapes, from what I can tell! For instance, the Satchitananda speech starts out sounding like a recording someone made from the audience!! What happened to the master tape of this bit??
Some of the unreleased stuff I've got is recordings made inside one of the medical tents.. It CAN be a tad rough (or should I say, RUFF!) to listen to because of a loud barking dog heard through some of it and, it's NOT a part of what took place on stage (although you CAN hear tiny bits of that in the background) but, to me, it's gold!! True, it's just people in a medical tent talking for a good while but, I liken it to, say, having a recording of the conversation and goings on at last supper!! You're ACTUALLY LISTENING to a tiny slice of history!! Basically, private history that not many people are privy to!! True, the conversation is nothing at all to write home about but, the fact that it is an actual recording of what happened RIGHT THERE, ON that site where a monumental piece of history took place is almost like BEING THERE!! To me, it's just VERY interesting!! YOU'RE THERE, and there's a slice of world history taking place RIGHT OUTSIDE your tent!!!
Any comments? Any help getting the rest of the concert? A friend of mine found it for me online at a web site that allows you to DL full albums for free but, 3 of the 38 CD's my computer refuses to DL because they might have a virus and the 4th claims I've reached my limit! Well, if I've reached my limit, why was I allowed to DL two other albums AFTER that??

I finished the bulk of the editing last night and the last CD has about 52.6 minutes on it but, I think a few of THOSE tracks will actually end up on the second or third CD of day 3 because they are announcement from that morning as well as some of the rain chant and sun dance sections.
All I have left to do now is the Ten Years After and Melanie sections. I couldn't do them when I got to those parts because I can't get those from Andy's version Andy's version and have to rely on possibly shortened version that I found on YT which, I found a way to convert to MP3 but, the program I'm using to edit them in won't let me use those as source material so, I have to wait for blank 80:00 CD's to get here that I ordered 2 weeks ago (they went to my old address, first!!) so I can burn them to CD and THEN cull them for use in the project. Even so, it's still going to be incomplete because I'm still missing sections of the Keef Hartley, The Who and whoever the 5th missing section was!! I KNOW I'm missing 5 but I'll be damned if I can think of or find out who the 5th one was!! Melanie, Keef, Who, TYA and......?????
Anyway, So far, incorporating the versions I already had with Andy's, I've been able to add at least 45:00 of stuff to his version (and I'm not including the incidental stuff that he doesn't have like, news broadcasts from the event and audience/ townspeople interviews) and at least 30:00 of the stuff I added is from the Hendrix section. I HAVE to wonder if there's actually a lot more because, when I expand these tracks to see single waves of sound at the edit points, even though they''re SUPPOSED to be continued from track 1 to track 2, the waves don't match most of the time!! This leads me to believe that lots of tiny bits were cut out. I HAVE found a few in the stuff I already had and built those back in but, if you''re going for the FULL concert and, as I've said, there's TONS of room left on pretty much EVERY CD, WHY chop those bits off??? Will we EVER get the FULL concert??? For such an event as historic as this, shouldn't there BE an archive of EVERYTHING from it??? I wonder if Iron Mountain has it all?
I've recently heard that they actually did another one like it a few weeks later down in Texas with a lot of the same acts. Does anyone know how that one went? I'll bet Texas in Aug. must've been UNBEARABLY hot!!!
