I was listening to a podcast last night about the 1942 record ban and what the dude was saying about how As time goes by was reissued was pretty interesting. Like it’s weird to think people actually bought a 1930 recording of as time goes by with acoustic era singing.
I know during the 1947 ban heartaches by Ted Weems became a big hit too, and from what I heard when it became #1 again Ted Weems was already retired lol.
Anyways I’m just curious if there were any other weird dated recordings that were reissued during the strikes in the 40s
