I have spent a considerable amount of time checking and re-checking information from every source I could think of and I have come to the point where the listings mentioned are spurious and incorrect....It is just the fact that nobody has them, heard them or seen them that leads me to believe that these entries in the book are wrong....Wrong artist or wrong song title or to a lesser extent wrong catalogue number....I would really be delighted to be wrong and I would love to admit it....See what you think !....I have seen entries in catalogues, promotions, listings etc but NO photographs of discs nor anybody who has them in their collection....Here goes:
Goodnight Children Everywhere - Phyllis Robins Parlophone F 1643
Goodnight Children Everywhere - Issy Bonn HMV BD 797
Goodnight My Beautiful - Beryl Davis Decca F 7333
My Daddy - Phyllis Robins Parlophone F 1703
Dreaming - Beryl Davis Decca F 7472
If Tears Could Bring You Back - The Organ, The Dance Band & Me Parlophone F 1786
Please tell me I'm wrong with conclusive proof and I will gladly do penance
That suggests (although not conclusively) that those two 78s do indeed exist.
I got the Oscar Rabin 78 earlier today......I guess it's just that they are so scarce and the fact that I find it hard to believe that if they sold well why nobody has them.....My list is certainly getting shorter by me putting up posts....I'm glad I am wrong as it means I may get them.....Nobody has come up with George Elrick yet !!
Mike, have you checked label listings for these titles?
Agreed that if they sold well they shouldn’t be scarce - but it could have been a period of low sales. Sometimes hit records can be hard to find. Maybe this was more the case before the proliferation of internet sellers?

I agree but I cannot be too disappointed as I have been able to get over 20 songs ...I'm sorry about all the confusion that I create....I'm not very good at this am I

We have discussed before some of these tracks / discs and the specific problem of England in 1940 (think about it)

Thanks for finding them , howeve the artists I think had those tracks on other disc pairings or recordings released in other countries so not necessarily a conclusion to draw. Its frustrating as "The Organ, The Dance Band & Me " is probably one of the most documented combos of releases over the years in net and printed formats (I have a number of compilaition cassettes but they dont have the title Mike is looking for, maybe it was so depressing no one wanted to include it in a compliation of cheerful dance ditties)
Really REALLY late reply, and this probably isn't useful since I mentioned it on another thread. Goodnight My Beautiful – Beryl Davis is real. https://www.discogs.com/release/27955560-Beryl-Davis-Goodnight-My-Beautiful
I have bought the record and it should be arriving soon

It would be nice if you could list the other records which you think don’t exist. There seems to be at least one example by Turner Layton.
