And most of those will be pre 1900, on 7 inch USA Berliners, with a pressing limit of less than 1000 discs from each master, and a new master would require a completely new recording by either the original artist or another substitute artist. No wonder they are rare!

But here's a copy (the only known one!!) of a 'lost' disc, to show that they can turn up: https://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/nc690241us

This record appeared on ebay UK about 7 years ago, and I won it. After sending details about it to the UK Berliner expert, I was told that the discography of American Berliners did not have a picture of it, as it was only known from printed lists, and would I allow the image to be added in the next issue. Well, yes of course!

I bet you were really pleased with that...to add to posterity.....Yes all are before 1902 and are all USA so some would even have been cylinders.....I do not expect to get any at all as they are as rare as hens teeth.....It is just one of my many lists....I am still really concentrating on my unavailable UK stuff....My wants list for old British stuff stands at about 28 records at the moment.....Could I send you a copy ?

Mike - as your objective is to hear these items, I won't be spending many hours listing known sources.

But, as an example, here are three cylinder recordings of the first item on your list:
George J. Gaskin - Slide, Kelly, Slide - composed John Kelly
Edison 1547; (2 min brown wax) released 1896-late 1897 (USA)
North American Phonograph Co. 146; (2 min brown wax) released Apr-Aug 1892 (UK)
United States Phonograph Company Not numbered; (2 min wax) released 1896 (UK)

I wondered if that was why you were interested, the artists are not familiar names to me.
