No picture 'cos I'm not into 45rpm :( Member since Jan 2013 3354 Points Moderator | I usually post something along these lines regularly, but a few recent questions from fairly new members highlights that this subject is buried fairly deeply in our forums.
All images are checked by the moderator team and sent to a 'needs further editing' list if they don't meet the site standard. When you have submitted quite a few that are of site standard, any of the moderators can choose to give you a 'Green light' which means that your future images are not checked.
A browse through the 'Images for Further Editing' lists shows that a few being uploaded are not of the full record label, CD/LP cover etc. PLEASE ensure that the images you upload contain the full image as it makes it a lot easier to bring these images up to site standard.
If you have a Windows PC here's some help on how to edit your images to our site standards.
The first tutorial covers basic editing using paint.net which many of us use, and can throughly recommend ( and its FREE). We have also discovered that paint.net now supports an add-on effect that makes editing perspective distorted rectangles easy, so we now recommend that, rather than the JpegView method in the second tutorial below. A tutorial for this paint.net method is here.
A second tutorial covers 'perspective correction' which you are much more likely to see if you photograph rather than scan your images. It uses another FREE program called JpegView.
These tutorials have been around for a couple of years, and quite a few members have found that editing their images is fairly simple, and often takes less than an hour to learn. But don't be afraid to ask questions - there are lots of members who can help you!
