Going into the 1950's the 78's would rapidly lose the battle against the new 45rpm but some records were released in both formats....Any format at all would do for these early 50's releases which are proving hard to find....If anyone has any of these, can you give me a message;

The Rose I Bring You - Lee Lawrence Decca F 9349
Mama Knows Best - Tanner Sisters HMV B 9873
Best Of All - Sid Phillips HMV BD 6060
Cry Of The Wild Goose - Stargazers Decca F 9406
Quicksilver - Tanner Sisters HMV B 9910
If I Loved You - Alan Dean Decca F 9454
He'd Have To Get Out & Get Under - Harry Roy Decca F 9485
Comb & Paper Polka - Stargazers Decca F 9486
Love Like Ours - Reggie Goff Decca F 9493
Oh Babe - Stargazers Decca F 9578
Petite Waltz - Tanner Sisters HMV B 10003
Patricia - Lee Lawrence Decca F 9598
Sentimental Music - Eve Young London L 874

If you know any that are on compilations on LP or CD that would also help

There is 3 copies Tanner Sisters 78 of Quicksilver on ebay, although its in europe? You might to know that the German release spells it Quecksilber and they state Rag Mop as the A-side - this is the cheapest one

No luck on most of these I'm afraid. British popular music from the early 50s is rather obscure - I admit to never even having heard of The Tanner Sisters! I'm surprised that the Eve Young song (who was later known as Karen Chandler) is hard to locate, given that she was a fairly popular American singer, and the song did have a US release.

The only lead I can find is a copy of Sid Phillips - "Best Of All" for sale on eBay in what I think is a 3 for £10 offer: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202669841131

Interesting to learn that although The Stargazers had been appearing as backing artists on record since September 1949, Cry Of The Wild Goose in May 1950 was their first release in their own right.
