Bit of a question on this one......I have just listened to this record and Dolly sings along with a full orchestral backing but on the label photographed it says Dolly with Charles Smart on the organ......Am I listening to a different recording ?.....Does anyone have any answers ?

The Jack Hylton version has a vocal chorus by Dolly Elsie, so it may be that. You can listen to it here and verify it it's the same as yours. Unfortunately low-quality CD releases have a habit of crediting tracks to vocalists rather than the band.

The B-side (Over The Rainbow) is definitely just an organ accompaniment (listen here).

I don't have the A side I'm afraid, nor can I find a recording anywhere online or on CD. Someone on discogs does own the record (https://www.discogs.com/user/Fishman2), so you could try messaging them.

Ah, this 78: https://www.discogs.com/release/23246822-Dolly-Elsie-Over-The-Rainbow-Faithful-Forever

Yes, some Vera Lynn CDs include tracks by her which were vocal refrains. The Bob and Alf Pearson CD on Rollercoaster includes some dance band sides too. I guess it’s okay as long as they actually make clear where it comes from. One of my pet peeves is CDs which lack discography information.
