Did you try messaging the discogs member who owns it? https://www.discogs.com/user/Fishman2/collection. He also has "My Favourite Dream" by both Billy Cotton and Eric Winstone.

I thought of that too. Might be worth a go.

I cannot adequateley put into words my most sincere and heartfelt thanks for the Turner Layton songs that where waiting for me when my carer got me up this morning.......I was so excited when I saw your message and have spent the last 2 hours listening to them and only them.....I am now only waiting for the five that I ordered from Kings, again a resource that you pointed me to....I feel that you have gone way above the call of duty in your assistance and you have my humble gratitude....To obtain every recording from 1940 - 1949 that is named in the book at several times I thought was an impossible dream but with your help you have made it a reality

I’m pleased to read that! I know what it’s like to be searching for something really rare, any I share your interest in this era. And you did say you wanted to hear them before you kicked the bucket! Like these Turner Layton records, someone may have the records sat at home and be perfectly willing to share them, but you need to know they exist. This guy is a member of the CLPGS and a regular at their London meetings. I think he must have mentioned to me at some point that he collected Layton & Johnstone recordings, which is a mammoth task given how prolific they were.

Yesterday I collected the 78s from my contact who transferred them, another CLPGS member (who uploads the recordings of talks online). I hope to scan the labels and put them on here soon.

I myself collected the recordings of every 1950s UK chart hit. I would probably like to collect recordings of the sheet music chart hits, and the “missing charts” hits would be nice to hear, but I don’t know when. There aren’t enough hours in the day!
