| NEED HELP In Indentifying Strange Musette Record |

 | Balto1987 Member since Apr 2013 17 Points | I got this in a box of 40 shellac 78's I paid $5 for. Unfortunately, it's half-cracked. I looked up the Musette label, and found a totally unrelated 1970's soul music label. I could not find any information about this record, or this specific New-York -based Musette company at all. Can anyone help? Thanks! The year is mainly what I am looking for. Photo 1 Photo 2 Photo 3 Photo 4 Also, I have a couple more records by a company called "Skating Rhythms" and "Tempo" that I cannot find on the 78 RPM database...if anyone has any info on that too, I would be grateful!  | LaurenceD SUBS Member since Aug 2011 7708 Points Moderator | The mention of Steinway Hall on the label puts this Musette at W 57th St. in NYC. Galen Gart's ARLD has just a bit of info about this label; it was active in the latter half of the 1940s, and was (possibly later) affiliated with Young People's Records and Musicomics. I was not able to find anything about this release though. |

| lorangrecords SUBS (Ulf) Member since Jan 2013 5803 Points Moderator | Is Tempo the Canadian label? There's a guy named Bill Daniel who has written a book about dates and so for the Tempo label. There is also someone Thompson involved, but I don't know what it stands for. |
