Mystery Country??

Just added this using an ebay listing as a guide but i can't see a country name on the label or in the description. Is this a bootleg or a real release from somewhere?

Lancer Records is a Philippines label. Do a search in Popsike you will find other examples. Cheers.

Wicked, thanks for the info...there were a few more similar ones on ebay, now i know the country ill add them to the site aswell. Though i'd wait until there was an answer to save the mods having to go through a long list having to change the country on them all!!

Worth just noting this point :

Any valid contribution is welcome, though we do ask for extra care to be taken when adding stuff that's not "in hand". If you find something on Ebay (or anywhere) that you think would make a good addition, then please do try and search out a back up source of info first to compare and contrast, such as popsike/discogs/youtube/fan sites/ related websites etc.
Ebay listings are riddled with false descriptions and misinformation, and we don't want to be perpetuating these untruths on this site !!

But do keep contributing :thumbsup:

Well said, and keep them coming An6y66!

I've added a few records based on YT videos, and there are many conspicuous errors in the videos, but where there are clear images of a record you may be able to check the details

We don't like to see images taken from other websites, but if you have to add a record without an image you may be able to post a YT video to show the record. Mind you, I suspect that 78 RPM World will outlive many of the YT videos ;-)

A problem with some YT vids is the soundtrack is sometimes from a later release ( 45, LP or CD , which both changes the timbre sometimes of the 78, and can be, for dance bands and similar , a different recording source - TV studio , alternate edit not from the 78 matrix release and so on ). And many 78 YT people dont put full details in the comments box , of Cat No , Matrix Number and what the flip side was ( or who the recording artist on the flip was as this can vary ).
