I've noticed two different methods of submitting the primary image

Many are submitting the fronts with spines and flaps (including bar codes) verses without.

In my opinion, the primary image should be how the CD single appears in it's case, without the flap and the flap image be added as the 2nd image. Flap images create more rectangle and a slightly smaller image.

The site should standardize this... any comments?

I see this was discussed early on here:

I agree we should go for a standard approach. I've just learned from that other post that the inner sheet (which is what I've been calling them) is known as a J-card. The J-card gets its name from being folded into the shape of the letter J (when viewed from the side) to fit inside a cassette's case (which is where they were first used). Now of course they are used in CD cases.

I agree, the approach should be without flap, and the second image with the flap. Third image the rear of the J-Card without the flap.

Rightly so, agreed.. this is what I've been doing. I simply refer to them as the "picture insert", but yes they certainly do resemble a much thinner, yet bigger version of the cassette case J-card.

Anyway, the average slim case entry gets 4 images, the fourth being the disc label.. any additional would be extras -- posters, picture postcards or the like).

I've noticed these differences too, and being the 'with flap' kind of guy I am, I thought best to check the forum for which I should go with before I add my next batch of scans.

Would this be the best format for these 'J-card' releases?
Image 1. No flap.
Image 2. With flap.
Image 3. Inside without flap / with flap if artwork extends onto flap
Image 4. Disc.

If so, is there a way to go back and insert a new 'without flap' image as the main image?

Also, should the guide to adding images be updated with this to nip this in the bud this before many more releases are added?

@wonky_eggs: Add the image and submit a "Make Correction", requesting the change to a primary/main image. Only a moderator can update, add, change, switch orders based on what you want done, after the entries have been submitted.

As for updating the iGuide, I was told that it will eventually be updated, but not currently with all the work there is, being that this whole 45worlds thing is only several months old. They ask for patience.
