Adrienne Clarkson - BiographyBorn in Hong Kong but a Canadian resident since the 1940s, Adrienne Clarkson became well known for her work as a TV personality for the CBC, co-hosting the current affairs series Take 30 in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1975 she took part in the launch of the Gemini- and Oscar-winning investigative journalism series The Fifth Estate. (Although made for TV, The Fifth Estate was eligible for Academy Awards due to some episode being distributed in the US as standalone documentaries.)
