My Mom bought me my first record for my birthday in 1964, "Something New" LP -The Beatles, and I've been collecting records and singing/playing/writing music ever since.

I was upset by the new CD revolution but, I eventually accepted & adapted to it.

When the CD technology exploded on to the music scene I was living & working in West Germany.

Although, some stores throughout western Europe still sold vinyl LP's, CD's were now everywhere and I decided to embrace the new media format with a passion.

In Germany, I bought CD's & vinyl.

In Holland, I bought just vinyl.

In Paris @ Tower records on the 'Champs' I went on a CD frenzy.

When I went to London in Nov 1996 to realize one of my dreams come true i.e. walking across Abbey Road; visiting the 'steps' of EMI/Abbey road studios (they wouldn't let me in to see studio 2 for some reason ☺); visiting Saville row the ol' Beatle Apple HQ & looking up at the rooftop + going by Paul's old flat in St. John Wood.

I also went to Tower records in Piccadilly Circus and went on a CD buying binge. I can even recall buying "Nazz Nazz" on CD.

When I came back to the states in '97 vinyl had virtually vanished except for the privately owned hard core vinyl shops in and around major cities.

I studied computer programming in college and started my own 'click & order' web site - Beggarsroad.com. which included the catch phrase "If You Can't Find it - BR Will"!

For five years I ran 'the road' finding & selling records e.g. to a former Tokens & Rubicon member; two LA producer's (one was Kim Fowley) & the other one worked for Warner Bros. records. I was even contacted and asked if I would handle the music estate of Johnny Mercer.

@ the end of my 5th year I shut down 'The Road'. But I still own the domain name.

After 34 years I decided to move back to South St. Louis.

I'm on my 5th music collection.
