| | This was a scary series right enough, but not as scary as the editing job they did on the VHS release of this show. How anyone could have passed that for release astounds me. Basically, instead of releasing it as individual episodes they put all the episodes together into one single story... complete with all the episode recaps so you would suddenly have the action jump back to the previous scene without warning. The video wasn't cheap to buy either as I recall. |

| | Reading through the Wikipedia write-up, I don't think I missed anything. The show wasn't quite what I thought it might've been. |

| | Seems no-one has any info on this show at all! The Avebury connection sparked my curiosity because of the connection with that Most Haunted edition(Series 1, Ep.3) which dealt with the stones and the Red Lion Pub, as I've mentioned earlier(2 days ago). |

| | I don't think this one ever made it onto Australian screens, what have I missed here? I know of the Avebury Stones from an edition from series 1 of Most Haunted when the stones an the nearby Red Lion Pub were investigated, but this series draws a blank with me. Was it about ghosts? |

I love me standing stones and ancient burial grounds.... got several near me I occasional have a good yomp to (Usually with Led Zep thrashing away in me ear-'oles).
Julian Cope is very into his stones too, and I believe he is the founder (or strongly associated with) the Megalithic Portal website, which is great for finding where these hidden treasures are (More about than you think!). |

| | Oh yes, amazingly spooky for a TV show of that era. Kids today (the famous "kids today") would probably laugh at it it and wonder when the shoot-em-up would start! |

| | Rated 7/10Never heard of this before, so looked it up on YouTube and ended up sitting through the whole two and a half hour series. I guess it was never repeated and i'm just glad i never saw it as a 6 year old, it would have scarred me for life.

| | It's a scary series with that bloke out of Blake's 7 filmed in Avebury in Wiltshire (me old stomping ground, now Julian Cope seems to want to be self-proclaimed king of the place). I imagine a whole generation of 70s kids shatting their pants over this eerie HTV-made series. Weird/scary series to compare with this might be the über-gone King Of The Castle and the über-weird Chocky. |

| | Never heard of this... but appeals to my Old English Pagan sensibility with just the title.

| | Possibly the scariest thing I'd ever seen as 13 year old in 1977. |
