Local New York 1960s rock and roll show hosted by legendary Clay Cole. An offshoot of his weekday show.
End date unknown but show is not continuing.

| | The color images here were stills from a home movie taken in the studio by one of the Del Satins members. I saved them from the now-defunct website of Clay Cole. I'm told that footage no longer exists.
It doesn't mean the show was in color.
It would have ended 1968 or earlier. |

| | I got the following email from the Channel:
Unfortunately, you're exactly right.
I checked.
The 2" tapes of The Clay Cole Show and other vintage shows were erased or recorded over.
At least we know of no existing copies.
One small correction.
WPIX (Channel 11) has been on the air with those call letters since 1948.
WNTA was briefly used by the station that is now a Public Broadcasting System station in the New York market, WNET (Channel 13).
I do wish we could be of help.
If you ever happen to find Clay Cole or any of the other lost classic WPIX shows please let us know.
I've heard talk of tapes in unmarked boxes supposedly being dumped in warehouses, but who knows if there's any truth to it let alone anyone having the time to sort through boxes of unlabeled tapes in a format that is almost extinct. |

| | From the defunct website of Clay Cole, this text about when the Sunday show started - ~November 1964.
"The Clay Cole Sunday Show
November 4, 1964
The Clay Cole Show celebrated a first anniversary on Channel 11 by becoming their hottest property, their number one show. Rather than offer me a new contract, more money or a bonus, I was given a second hour show with additional duties. So the Clay Cole Sunday Show was created with a cast of fresh, young singers Tracey Dey, Angela Martin, Benny Thomas, Brian McCuen and the Del Satins." |

| | I just watched it and I would go for the weekday show. It would be a shame if this is the only clip survived of the show. |

| | That's right Harley. There just one piece of footage on Youtube involving a singer named Dallas. Check whether that's the weekday show. |

| | I'm interested in this show as I understand they used the 2" tape and was expensive back then so I'm guessing they reused the tape after each broadcast (I more then certain they reused it as being a local station they would have limited budget) meaning many shows are lost or wiped. |
