Notes

Navy-themed sitcom best remembered for a behind-the-scenes "crossover" with Johnny Carson's Tonight Show in late 1976. Both CPO Sharkey and The Tonight Show taped in adjoining studios at the same time, and Carson made an impromptu visit to the Sharkey set during a taping of his show in order to tease Rickles for having done some accidental damage to something left on Carson's Tonight Show desk during a recent appearance on the talk show. Obviously the intrusion was not included in the scripted CPO Sharkey series but it was shown on the Tonight Show.
