TV Series
Notes The first comedy show to be broadcast in colour by LWT it is remembered for a variety of reasons. Written by Johnny Speight whilst "Till Death Us Do Part" was off the air for a few years, it explored racial tensions within Lillicrap's novelty toy factory. Spike Milligan blacked up to play a Pakistani Irishman (usually referred to as "Paki Paddy") and despite good viewing figures proving it was popular at the time, it's always pointed at and acuused of being one of the most politically incorrect TV shows ever made. It ran for just the one series since LWT didn't fancy their chances on a second. On DVD & Blu-ray World DVD Curry And Chips - Network - UK (2010) Comments and Reviews
