Without doubt, one of the best loved comedy series ever made to the degree that it is still regularly repeated to this day. Written by Jimmy Perry and David Croft, the exploits of Walmington On Sea's Home Guard unit provided plenty of factual based comedy centered around a bunch of well rounded and played characters each with their own catchphrases that have become part of the National language! "They don't like it up 'em!", "You stupid boy!", "We're DOOMED!", "Please may I be excused..."
