TV Series
Notes Loosely based upon characters from the 1957 musical Funny Face, with Duncan playing a version of the character played by Audrey Hepburn in the film. The first season of this sitcom aired as Funny Face, but was pulled from the air after 13 episodes due to Duncan undergoing surgery to remove a tumour that left her blind in one eye. The show's pilot episode was the last one broadcast in the first season. The series returned in the fall of 1972 as The Sandy Duncan Show with a new format and completely new cast except for Duncan, who continued to play the same character. The opening credits and theme song were also similar to the preceding series. The series was cancelled for good after another 13-episode season. Images Comments and Reviews
