Aired the same season as the identical-concept Holmes & Yo-Yo (human veteran policeman partnered with an android cop). The concept would later be revisited in 1992 with Mann & Machine and in 2013 with Almost Human.

Preceded by a TV movie that aired in 1976. In 1978 unaired episodes were reedited into a TV movie that was broadcast as The Cops and Robin.
